The Nautilus Group Introduces New Line of Nautilus Cardiovascular Equipment

VANCOUVER, Wash.--(BW HealthWire)--Aug. 1, 2002--The Nautilus Group Inc. (NYSE:NLS - News), a leading marketer, developer, and manufacturer of branded health and fitness products, today announced a new line of cardiovascular equipment under the Nautilus® brand name, traditionally known for top-of-the-line strength equipment.

The initial introduction of Nautilus® cardiovascular equipment will include 10 new treadmills and stationary bikes targeted for the high-end consumer market and sold through specialty retail fitness and athletic stores.

The new Nautilus® treadmills feature proprietary React(TM) Absorption Control Technology, accommodating the needs of runners and walkers of all weights with maximum comfort and stability. The new Nautilus® stationary bikes provide comfort and ease of use in both recumbent and upright models. "This new product line is a significant move forward toward our goal of further leveraging the Nautilus brand across the complete spectrum of fitness products," said Kevin Lamar, President of The Nautilus Group. "Now the same high quality, user-friendly characteristics that give the Nautilus name its prestige in the strength category are available in a superb line of cardio equipment."

"The expansion of the Nautilus product family also provides our dealer network with quality products under a trusted brand that address the full range of consumer fitness needs, with everything to create a fully equipped home gym for their customers. We believe this represents a convenient and powerful formula for dealer success."

Nautilus Cardiovascular equipment is expected to be available for sale in October and will be on display at the Health and Fitness Business show in Denver, CO, from August 1 to August 3, at booth #604.
